Coles Fungtastic Mushrooms
Started early 2020 with what was a hobby and has blown into a full mushroom farm operation. Cortney and Kasey live in scotland Pennsylvania with Cortney's 5 year old daughter. The entire family enjoys gardening and cultivating mushrooms. They started out growing a big garden and eventually started cultivating mushrooms. Although the garden is still a big part of their lives, they are striving to deliver high quality mushrooms. They pasteurize and sterilize their substrate to make sure they have the best mushrooms in the area. Substrate, the medium they cultivate their mushrooms on made, is made with organic grain and hardwood. They have 7 different varieties of mushrooms that they cultivate in a sterile environment, Pearl, Blue, Grey, Tropical Pink, King oyster, Chestnut and Lions Mane Mushrooms. The Oyster Mushrooms like Pearl, Blue, Grey, and Tropical pink are their main focus and will be available regularly for our CSA members. Availablity will vary throughout the season of the others like King oyster, Lions Mane and Chestnut. They plan on adding a new mushroom to the list coming late spring 2021.
Flours locally grown and milled
Charlie and Susanne Reed own a farm in Fulton County, PA. They practice organic methods and use NonGMO seeds. They currently grow wheat, triticale, and bloody butcher corn (red corn) and hay for horses and other livestock. They use a modern stone mill to grind the grains into flour. With the flour, they create product mixes for cookies, pancakes, grits, cornbread, cornmeal, and more. Reed Farms was featured in Grit magazine in their November 2018 edition for growing grains on a small farm with old school equipment. Please follow Reed Farms on Facebook or Instagram (reedfarmspa). All flours and mixes available to our CSA members with no extra delivery fee!
